Greg Muller, Host of Motherlode
Your favourite podcast of the year: Oh, I can never choose one: Hot Money from the Financial Times was fascinating about the economics of the Porn industry, and notably how Visa and Mastercard became the reluctant rulers of the industry. The Confession - still coming out about a botched murder trial in Victoria. One woman faces 4 trials for the same murder. It's tragic as well as fascinating. 9PM Edict - Stilgherrian is sooo irreverent and so informed. His running commentary of the Federal Election was a relief from the actual campaign.
A podcast that sums up your year: I Spied. It's funny and you learn heaps about the intelligence world almost without noticing. And, of course, Motherlode because it dominated every waking moment, and then some, for last year and the beginning of 2022. It's the type of work I love doing, so it sums up my year well.
Your most listened to podcast genre in 2022: Current affairs and investigative stuff. But I'm getting into the tech podcasts - which is super geeky of me - Like Griftonomics by Jackson Palmer who invented 'Dogecoin' as a joke.
Hot tip for a podcast about to make it big in 2023: Personally, Take me to your Leader will come out in February. It's a series which profiles world leaders from Mohammed bin Salman, Vladimir Putin to Xi Jinping hosted by Hamish Macdonald. Eight leaders in all. It's what I'm working on at the moment and am learning a lot, so I hope that comes across.

Your favourite podcast ad of 2022: I don't know because I don't listen to ads BUUUT Booke and I had too much fun doing the State Farm ads just to be able to say the iconic "like a good neighbor..." line
Hot tip for a podcast about to make it big in 2023: Do anything Brooke and I do.
Brooke Siffrin, Co-Host of Even The Rich

Hot tip for a podcast about to make it big in 2023: Don't read your reviews. Trust me.
What podcast trends do you think will be big in 2023? (eg shorter podcasts, continued dominance of Spotify, celeb podcasts) - I think celeb and pop culture podcasts will stay big in 2023!
