A big warm welcome to Olly Hutson, joining the Ranieri & Co family as our new Sales Manager. Olly joins us with a rich background in account management and sports marketing. Get to know him better below.
What are you listening to right now? I’m loving NRL 360, Mind Muscle Project and Hotboxin with Mike Tyson. They keep me motivated and feed my sports obsession! Mind Muscle Project also has some great business and personal motivation advice.
What do you think more people should be listening to? Productivity podcasts - extremely helpful for literally everyone, no matter your stage of life or personal goals. Before Breakfast and The Tim Ferris Show are my top picks.
What is your career background?
I’m originally from a marketing background as I have a degree in sports marketing. I worked for a marketing agency post University but found that I was naturally more suited to sales. I love the challenges in forming relationships and finding solutions for different businesses.
What made you decide to work in the podcast industry?
The industry has been going from strength to strength and is only getting stronger in terms of consumption and content. I’m really excited to be part of Ranieri & Co’s next chapter as they partner with Veritonic to maximize the performance and ROI of our podcast advertising. I’m also a big fan of their original podcast Motherlode (telling the extraordinary story of the Melbourne hacker scene).
When you’re not obsessing over podcasts what are you doing? I love playing rugby or enjoying food and beer(s) with friends.
Favourite spot you've visited in Australia? I was very impressed with the beautiful Fraser Island - incredible views and wildlife.
If you weren't doing this for a living, what would you be doing? I’d dust off the drum sticks and create the world's greatest rock band.
Do you have a daily mantra? Gym in the mornings - a great way to feel good and set yourself up for the day.
What is your favourite Advert? Budweiser - WASSUP is such a classic and very memorable.
